Best Greek Restaurant. My husband and I have been eating here for 8 years. The food is consistently excellent and the service is great. It has become our favorite restaurant in Lafayette. When ever we have friends and family in town this is always one of our first stops. Greek food at it's best.

Second time for Greek. The first time I had ever tried mediterranean food, was at Zeus' Lebanese Cafe. The service was horrible, the food was under heat lamps, the cooks weren't wearing hats, and the waiter could not even pronounce some of the menu items! he said Gyro(guy-ro), bbut since there is no G in the greek or lebanese language, that is impossible. The correct pronunciation is Gyro-(year-o). I decided to give greek food one more time. Poseidon's has been open for 15 years now, so it must be good. The service was kind and attentive. I never had to search for my waitress if I needed something. The food was fresh, and I felt like I was at a fancy restaurant without having to pay for overpriced food. It has a great atmosphere, great food, and EXCELLENT service! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TOI ANYONE!
