Best chocolate malts in town!. My fast and hard rule about going here is that I MUST get a chocolate malt - they are the absolute best! The rest of the menu is pretty much typical diner fare which is tasty but I do wish they would update the menu a bit and add some new items. The service is friendly but excruciatingly slow some days. The atmosphere is 50's cool with a jukebox that plays great old sock hop music and memorabilia that lines the wall. My kids favorite thing is the pelican decorated as Elvis (hence his name "Pelvis") that you see when you come in the front door.

Blast from the past. Hub City Diner is the best diner in Lafayette. I visit Lafayette once a year and the food is consistently good. The atomsphere is always fun and you almost feel like you are in the fifties. The only complaint that I've heard from Peter is that they do not serve pitchers of beer.
