Narrow Narrow Narrow!!! Style Style Style!!!. I love this store!! I wear a 9 1/2 N and cannot go anywhere to find shoes. They carry some of my favorite brands, Donald J Pliner, Cole Haan and Vaneli!!! I am in my early 20's and wear some high heels but I also like to have medium heels. They have every style from ballet flats to high heel boots!! I wouldn't say they are geared to older clientele, just that they have something for all ages. My best friend (who wears a medium) and I go often and we have several shoes from La Mode. I love how friendly the ladies are! They always remember us and even remember my size when I walk in. Just seems really formal yet inviting (nothing like the mall!) I highly recommend to anyone looking for classic shoes(narrow or medium) and for that old time sit down personal service!!

Exquisite shoes and accessories. This is my favorite shoe store EVER. They have the largest selection of narrow shoes I've seen anywhere in the best brands and styles. That's saying a lot, because I've been in many, many shoe stores! They don't just carry narrows, either. My mom wears a 7 medium, and she's bought lots of shoes there too. Cannot say enough good things about the selection and quality in this boutique.

Nice Shoe Salon. I quite enjoyed my shopping experience at La Mode Shoes. It really is difficult to find narrow widths to try on in person and La Mode had AA and AAA sizes in stock for me to try. I didn't realize I came in right before closing time and the owner stayed late to assist me and was very knowledge about fitting my feet properly. She even offered to ship styles to me at the beginning of each season. My only complaint would be most of the styles are somewhat basic and geared toward a slightly older clientele. But I was still able to find a couple of styles that suited and fit perfectly. I will definitely return next time I am in Lafayette. And in reponse to the reviewer below, the windows clearly state only employees are allowed in the window displays.

Horrible Experience. I have never been treated as badly as I have today. The sales lady didn't want to help us from the beginning. She was very short tempered. She even told my mom that they were the only store in the state of Louisiana that carried narrow width shoes!!! Then had the nerve to yell at my 6 y/o daughter for sitting in the window. We took our money and went to Greenwood Shoes downtown where we found narrow width shoes and much better customer service.
