One visit was too many!. The service was horrible! The food was no better than domino's...It's all hype. One time deal for me..I will never go back!Don't waste your time....save yourself from the disappointment.
Great Pizza. The pizza was great. I had the Dupe pizza. I love thin crust and the toppings were piled up although we couldn't see much cheese. The waiter was very friendly and comical. He made you feel right at home. We definitely going back!
I Love Pizza Village!!!. It isn't like most pizza places. The crust is really thin but they make this homeade sausage OMG it is so good..Try the Joe's Special and add extra cheese on top... Awesome....and they have the best Salads with lots of olives and delious ranch dressing....Yummy I'm ordering tonight..lol
Great Pizza if you like Meat on a cracker!!!. This place is horrible! But for some reason it is one of the most popular Pizza Places in Lafayette. I don't get it. The crust reminds me of Saltine Crackers. There is very little sauce or cheese, if they put any on at all. The toppings are cut into tiny pieces, like they were diced. They do offer shrimp on their Pizza and have cold Beer, which is why I gave them one star.
The Landry Special is the Best pizza Ever!!. I am orginally from St. Martinville La. which also used to be home to Pizza Village. I can remember eating there as a young kid. That same great tasting pizza which I have found no equal anywhere in the world is still found in Lafayette La. And I should know because I've been in the Military for 10yrs and been around this country and the world. Hands down the Landry special is the best pizza I have had to date. I love the thin crispy crust, the toppings or perfectly proportioned and they don't over due the cheese like some other establishments. When you walk into Pizza Village the aroma is invigerating, your salavary glands kick into overdrive, and once you bite in to your first slice it's like a little peace of Cajun Heaven!! Everytime I'm back home I have to go to Pizza Village at least once. Like I said before I've been a lot of places encluding, Germany, Luxemburg, France, Holland, Iceland, Saudi Arabia, Austria, N. Carolina, Texas, Florida, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennesee, Arkansas, Missori, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, S. Carolina and trust me Lafayette La has the best pizza ever at a little place called Pizza Village.
Superb Customer Service!!!. Pizza Village has been a home town fav for years. I was born in Lafayette and all I could ever think about was hanging out with friends going over to pizza village and having the dupe or landry special yum.... super thin crust perfect layer of sauce.. awesome amount of toppings.. you cant say enough good.. I live in JEnnings and I go with my husband from time to time.. he was so impressed with the way they bring you a cold frosty mug every ten minutes or so.. super brownines points for you beer drinkers out there.. you cant go wrong.. it is usually packed though so ya better get there early or you will be sorry
Best Pizza in Town.
Pizza Village is the best tasting pizza in town, bar none! The crust is crunchy and delicious, the sauce is perfect, the toppings are seasoned, and (have to disagree with the person who said they're skimpy on the cheese) just enough cheese without being too cheesy. Order the cheese garlic bread for an appetizer you will love!
The atmosphere, along with the friendly staff, makes it a great place to dine. You will almost always see someone you know there. I have to admit that I miss the old place because of the open floor plan.
best pizza ever. Pizza Village has been around since 1971 and will always be the best pizza in Lafayette. Believe me, I've tried them all. The Landry Special is fabulous. My favorite! The muffulettas are the best I've ever had and the salads are packed with shredded ham and cheese. mmmm The service is quick and if you're drinking a beer, they bring you new, frozen mugs every 10 minutes or so. Your beer is always ice cold. Love that!
Tasty pizza; lousy location. Pizza Village has been around as long as I can remember and my family has always loved it. They moved into a larger facility a few years ago that is across the street from their old location but the place is still packed alot of nights. The restaurant is not exactly in the best part of town either. My husband prefers other places because Pizza Village tends to be skimpy on their cheese so you have to order extra cheese. They also lose points for not having any appetizers; which you sometimes need because it can take a good while to get your pizza sometimes. That being said, the cracker like crust is wonderful and the pizza is always hot, fresh and sooooo good!!!! The staff is also consistently friendly and accommodating and it is a very kid friendly establishment.
