Estimate way off. Despite claiming to have 12 years of experience, the representative of Valdez Relocation that came to my home to do an estimate ended up being off by 30% in the end. Since it was a non-binding estimate there was nothing I could do. They offered no explanation or apology, and stopped returning my calls and emails once they had their money.

I made the mistake of assuming that someone who told me they'd been doing this for 12 years would be closer than 30% off. Dishonest or just incompetent? I'll never know - and I'll never get that money back.
