As Good as NYC.
I live in NYC and Bonnie Bell's was suggested to me by a friend while I was in Lafayette.
I found it to be outstanding and very comparable to some of the better establishments NY has to offer.
The selection was impressive and the flavors savory.
I definitely recommend it.
I could eat here 3 days/wk easily if i lived in Lafayette.
Very creative! Do yourself a favor and go try it!!
One of the best.
This place has been good since it was a little restaurant right off campus.
The food has consistently been wonderful. Granted, it is a bistro, so it isn't the most healthy, but I've never felt that anything was "unhealthy."
The pricing is exactly what you would expect to pay for bistro food -- approx $15 for lunch; $25 for dinner.
While the service is a little slower (as in, it isn't McDonalds), I've always been able to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
When I have friends in from out of town, this is certainly one of the places that I bring them to eat.
Will rip you off. I have been here about 5 times, good blue encrusted poboys.WAY TOO MUCH butter on the buns though, disguistingly gross. But the shrimp and sauteed onions are good. Buyers beware, when you order meals they will charge extra for what comes with meal. I have ordered the poboy everytime I went and twice have been charged for sweet potato fries, umm $9.95 includes poboy and fries. But even worse when you get it to go, they leave it off all together. The service is slow and the older married woman is always rude to me when I go in there. Will now stick with my usual routine of Taco Sisters, better food much cheaper prices.
Really good.
I think Bubs must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed.
I find the food to be a very good value. Lafayette is filled with good places to eat and yet Bonnie Bell's provides a unique menu of very good food. There are some items here, you won't find anywhere else in town. Give it a try at their new downtown location on Jefferson.

DON"T DO IT. I find this restaurant to be completely overpriced, and not nearly as special as it thinks it is. Not to mention that the Chef Paul- the co owner is one of the worst people I have ever met.
