Great place!

I was hesitant the first time I went b/c I am not the girl for frilly, fancy, stuck up places and I assumed that Spa Mizan would be that way. BOY WAS I WRONG!

In their old location (on Johnston St.) - the layout was charming. I loved the look and smell of the place. You felt comfortable and at home. Everyone smiles at you. They LISTEN to you and actually respond in a friendly way!

(I went in with dirty hair in a ratty ponytail, no makeup, jeans, flip-flops, and an old t-shirt) Not once did I feel judged or looked down upon.

The first time I went, Loan did my hair. She did a great job! She helped me figure out what would work best and made sure that I liked what was happening before she moved on.

They provide you with beverages (soda, water, coffee!!). Their hours are great (early morning or after work!).

Months passed and I forgot who did my hair so when I scheduled my new appointment I didn't specify who I would like. This time I got Ashley.

She is awesome too! She did a cute cut and an amazing color. She is so friendly and makes you feel like she is your best friend.

I love this place. While you are sitting in the chair, a lady will come up and ask if you want to reschedule an appointment or buy anything....and if you do - she gets the stuff for you and brings it to you. First class service!

I plan on using all of their services!!

The new place is great! Modern, comfortable, and bright. You feel very pampered when you go!

• Cons: I honestly cannot think of any cons.

Best Hair I Have Ever Had !!!

I recently visited spa mizan for a hair cut service. i was extremely nervous since i am new to the area and i am very picky about my hair. From the time i entered the building to the time i left i was very satisified with my stylist. He made me feel very comfortable and took extreme care of me. He is a great stylist and i would recommend everyone to go see him. His name is Mike. I will be back for sure because he has given me a great idea of how to color my hair. Thanks again

Worst up-do ever on the night of my wedding reception

If I could display the pictures, I would. It was awful in every way....it came down only 2 hours after they put it up. I had to CONSTANTLY keep putting pins in to catch falling parts of it.

I went in because I thought they would be able to help me look beautiful for my wedding reception, and half of the pictures are an absolute eyesore because of the hair falling everywhere. I looked terrible.

I had a GORGEOUS do for my wedding...luckily. I did not get it from Spa Mizan.

I will NEVER go back, and I suggest you rethink going if you are going for a special occasion. What if they ruin yours too?

• Pros: The staff tried to help me look at products....aka. they did their jobs.
• Cons: My hair was a mess and it ruined pictures for my reception.
